LARGO, FL – April 2026 – CONMED Corporation (NYSE: CNMD), a leading global medical technology company, has officially launched the Infinity™ Quad Tendon Harvest System, a comprehensive solution for harvesting the quadriceps tendon for ACL reconstruction. Designed to deliver consistent, predictable graft geometry while maintaining graft integrity and patient safety, the System introduces a purpose-built instrument set that supports real-time visualization during harvest and enables a minimally invasive workflow without requiring a first assistant.
The launch addresses a well-documented need in the quad autograft space. As quadriceps tendon autograft has gained significant momentum in ACL reconstruction — driven by favorable biomechanical properties, reduced donor site morbidity, and strong clinical outcomes — surgeons have increasingly called for a harvest system that can reliably deliver on the graft’s potential. Existing options in the market have been associated with inconsistent graft geometry, limited intraoperative visualization, and a recurring failure mode (premature graft truncation) that can force intraoperative conversion to an alternative graft source.
“The Infinity™ Quad Tendon Harvest System reflects our commitment to building purposeful tools that make a meaningful difference in the OR. Surgeons choosing quad autograft deserve a system that gives them confidence at every step of the harvest — and that’s exactly what this System was built to deliver.”

The Infinity™ Quad Tendon Harvest System is built around four next-generation components that together cover the full harvest workflow. The Infinity™ Retractor is a self-retaining, adjustable instrument that maintains incision elevation without external support and features a dedicated scope slot — enabling continuous arthroscopic visualization of the muscle-tendon junction and VMO during proximal harvest initiation. For surgeons operating in ASCs or staff-constrained environments, this design eliminates the assistant dependency baked into traditional harvest approaches.
The Infinity™ Disposable Double Blade is the System’s core cutting instrument. Engineered with a depth limiter on the reverse double blades, it delivers a consistent 6 mm or 8 mm harvest depth on every pass — eliminating depth variability as a source of graft inconsistency. Six blade configurations are available (6 mm × 9/10/11 mm and 8 mm × 8/9/10 mm), supporting graft cross-sectional areas from 54 to 80 mm² and estimated diameters from approximately 8.3 to 10.1 mm, to accommodate patient-specific sizing across a range of ACL reconstruction cases.
The Infinity™ Quad Tendon Stripper (offered in both left- and right-handed configurations) is specifically engineered to mitigate premature graft truncation, the most consequential intraoperative complication in quad tendon harvest. Its blunt underside with lightly sharpened side edges separates tissue layers and adhesions without cutting through the tendon itself — a passive, instrument-driven safeguard, not a technique-dependent workaround. The Stripper is reusable, reducing per-case disposable burden. Finally, the Infinity™ Proximal Tendon Cutter, bundled with the Retractor in the QTCR disposable kit, enables controlled, reliable resection of the proximal tendon to complete the harvest sequence.
The System’s proximal-to-distal cutting technique is central to its clinical differentiation. By initiating harvest from the proximal end, surgeons gain direct visualization of the hardest landmarks to confirm in any harvest, the VMO and muscle-tendon junction, from the outset. The approach supports harvest through an incision of less than 4.5 cm and accommodates both full-thickness and partial-thickness grafts within the same system.
“I really appreciate that the CONMED Quad Harvester system creates a comprehensive step-by-step approach to performing a safe and reproducible quad harvest. This system is versatile and allows for all surgical approaches to quad harvests. This system better supports surgeons performing quadriceps ACL reconstructions and better serves our patients with robust graft harvests.”
